For many people – both inside and outside the city – Portsmouth is inextricably linked with its football club. From its very early days as Portsmouth AFC (featuring none other than Arthur Conan Doyle playing in goal) to the club we know today, Portsmouth FC has had its highs and lows. All this is charted in Football in the City – which offers some great memories of the beautiful game at the waterfront city.

You can see a roll-call of Portsmouth players with international honours, a host of matchday memorabilia from some of the biggest games the club has been involved in, and even play a spot of table football to recreate Michael Doyle’s 2016 wonder goal at Accrington Stanley, or Kanu’s side-foot that clinched the FA Cup in 2008.
