Help us celebrate the city’s creativity by sharing your artwork in a virtual exhibition: The People’s Gallery. Every month we’ll choose a new topic and show some artwork from the city’s collection to give you inspiration. Then it’s your turn to create a new work of art and send us a photo of your creation! The submissions will be featured on our website and social media channels.
Every month we’ll change the work on show in the gallery and announce the next topic.
The People’s Gallery is open to submissions from everyone – whatever your age or experience. You can use any materials and techniques you like, including drawing, painting, collage, models, textiles and photography.
This month: Portraits
Portraits is our next theme, a great one for all the family! We would love to see your artwork of family members or perhaps have a go at doing your own portrait in a Picasso style. It could be a collage, a drawing, detailed to really try and capture someone’s face or maybe something just for fun. We want to see them all!
Now it’s your turn to get creative. Make a piece of art showing off your portraiture skills, then email a photo of your masterpieces to firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for entries is 21 September.
The exhibition of Portraits at The People’s Gallery will be on show from 24 August.
We’ll let you know the topic for the next exhibition on 21 September.
